Mel & Her Story

From a small acorn

Why the oak became the heart of this practice, and what six decades of living has taught me about listening properly.

People sometimes ask why an oak tree sits at the heart of this practice. The honest answer is that it chose itself long before I had a name for what I wanted to do.

Roots first

An oak spends years growing downward before it grows very tall. It builds its roots quietly, out of sight, and that slow, patient work is what lets it stand through decades of weather. I have always found that a comforting thought, particularly in seasons of life that felt like nothing much was happening on the surface.

Learning to listen

By the time I came to homeopathy I had already lived a good deal of life: raising a family, working, caring for people I love and navigating my own ups and downs. If those years taught me anything, it was the value of being properly listened to, without being hurried or reduced to a label.

That is what I hope every person who speaks with me will feel. A consultation is not a checklist. It is a space where you can tell your story in your own words and at your own pace.

Small beginnings

From a small acorn, the old saying goes, a mighty oak will grow. I like it because it is about beginnings rather than endings. Many people who contact me are not sure where to start. A simple conversation is often enough.

If you would like to explore whether homeopathy might suit you, the Discovery Call is a gentle first step.
